ACTS - laboratory for performance practices had developed a new program for 2012: Inter-actions. Unfortunately our application to Norsk Kulturråd was rejected.
After one year of great accomplishments and with further plans for 2012 we decided to use our right to appeal the council's decision.
It is of great significance for us now that Norsk Kulturråd acknowledges the support we have from participants, performers, fellow artists, spectators and sympathizers, thus to make clear the importance of our project.
Making it clear that this petition does not intend to go against Norsk Kulturråd, yet pro ACTS. As artists we feel the need of speech. We also have the need to share with others our disappointment and to use our right to express ourselves.
We are currently finalizing the formal appeal documentation to be submitted to Norsk Kulturråd. This document incorporates the arguments presented in this petition to emphasize the project's significance. A copy of the appeal will be provided here once the submission is complete.

ACTS does such important work for the arts scene here. crazy that they would reject such a good program.

The culture council needs to wake up and see what they are missing. ACTS is vital.
