Prisons are over crowed and under staffed. Violence in prison helf harm and suicide rates inside Her majestys prisons are rising

Prisoners are people and just because they are in prison does not mean they lose their human rights.

The right to health care, the right to a family life.

Due to staff cuts prisoners are not being rehabilitated. Locking somebody up in a room will not help them they need support.

Prisoners are less likely to re-offend when they have support from their families but in many prisons visits have been cut due to lack of staff due to government cuts.

Prisons are overcrowded and extremely hot in the summer, With some prisons not even having windows this can put the prisoners at risk.

The Misnister of Jusice Chirs Grayling when questioned about Overcrowding in prisons extreame heat, self harm increasing and suicide rates

'well they shouldn't of done anything wrong in the first place'

So How come Maria Miler clamed £90,000 of fraudulent expenses and avoided jail?? just one of many MPs.

I want people to sign this petition so I can hand it to parliament to show the public support the fact that prisoners have rights, and in order to rehabilitate them we need staff we need to educate them.
Prisoner need regular contact with thier families because prisoners with support from loved ones ar 3 times less likely to re offend

We want the same Justice for everyone.

With this petition I hope to increase prison staff and education for prisoners, I want the to be able to access there human right, the right to health care ect
I also want prisons to be safer and for people to be rehabilitated

I am honestly overwhelmed by the stories people are sharing in the comments here. Your experiences remind me that this is about real people who deserve a chance at something better than the current conditions. It is your commitment to human dignity that keeps this moving forward.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the momentum this has gained so quickly. It is clear that so many of you care deeply about these human rights and I am just the person who happened to push the button to get the conversation started.
