I think the HSE. should be contacted, as prisons are becoming a very dangerous place to work, and NOMS has a duty of care to its staff.

the job I love has been De-skilled and under valued. you can only stretch a now limited number of staff so far and thin before it FINALLY BREAKS. ignorance and arrogance has ruined a job and endangerd lives. this is NOT an exaggeration, it's a very sad fact.

As an ex senior officer who has been through this I fully support this petition, staff need the goverment to support them not abandoning them as they are doing now, Cameron and his goverment will end up being responsible for the death of an officer before much longer

Things in the prison needs to change, staff need to be safe, both directly employed and civillian - lets have mp doing the job for a week without protection around them.

Like many who has loved ones working in the Prisons I am constantly concerned about the levels of violence and abuse they face each day at work. The only way this stops is reducing prisoner numbers by building more modern prisons and increasing staff levels

I am so fed up with seeing mu husband come home with injuries. This has to stop. What about the human rights of Prison Officers whilst doing their duty. Please stop these unsafe working conditions.

the way staff are being treated is appalling and should be on the scale of a national scandal if it wasn't for the gagging of staff

dangerous conditions need looking in to officers not treated well when sick only concerned as to when they are returning to work not how they are.

The tail is wagging the dog. Officers are not allowed to discipline prisoners because we have too many do gooders within the system.

Stop pandering to the Liberal do-gooders and strengthen the PO staff at all prisons, they are risking their lives each day but more manpower on the landings would be a good deterrent in most cases!
