I should not basically be evicted from my dorm and lose my scholarships due to SCAD'S mistakes.

I find it unfair to us up coming seniors because me and my roommates believed we finally are having a chance at an amazing dorm when they suddenly decided to take away reapplication for the same dorm. This is completely unfair.

If scholarships are dependent on living on campus, you CANNOT take away our ability to live on campus. Not without rethinking how scholarships work. It would make more sense to have scholarships to not live on campus, or even to REDUCE TUITION for people who don’t live on campus, or in general. I’m barely here BECAUSE I am on campus, and in going into my last year I would HATE to have to drop out or transfer in my final stretch.

As a freshman who worked super hard on a portfolio to get in and get scholarship money, I know how hard this is gonna be for other people and for me when I become an upperclassman. STOP OVERADMITTING FRESHMEN AND TREATING THEM LIKE GODS.

This decision will cause a disruption in the higher education of hundreds of students who have chose SCAD as their school for higher education in arts. Not all families can afford to house their kids in off campus housing and will discriminate against low/middle class families. It could force some families to make heartbreaking decisions to pull their kids out of their higher educational opportunities at SCAD. It's also not fair for the students who achieved academic success in the form of a scholarship to SCAD to give up any part of it.

Rising Juniors and Seniors should maintain their priority to choose first for on campus housing. At a minimum, rising Juniors and Seniors should be able to keep the current on campus room they are in for the next school year.

Over admitting students shouldn’t be taken out on the people already going to school here, we shouldn’t have to be kicked to the side just because you want to rope in as many kids with immediate gratification type promises just to make them fend for themselves once they get out of that freshman grace period.

My daughter is currently a Sophomore but going forward into her Junior and Senior years I am very worried about where she is going to live. She has Scholarship money towards on Campus Housing for 4 years! Is she going to be forced to move off Campus and lose that funding? She doesn't drive and we live 9 hours away on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I feel she will be safer living in on Campus Housing. Please don't do this. How about tightening the belt on in coming Freshman? You are admitting too many students the Campus Housing and classes can handle!

Upperclassmen have earned & deserve the right to have priority! These are the same kids that got screwed out of a lot during Covid… Poor timing, poor decision & poor form, SCAD!
