ALL the students, Computer Science teachers, and counselors were informed that AP Computer Science Principles was weighted! Finding out that this class is not weighted AFTER spending in the entire semester in it is absolutely unfair to all the students taking this class this year. This class requires as much effort as any other Computer Science class, and it DESERVES to be weighted.

AP Computer Science Principles is as rigorous as any other Computer Science class offered in the district. Therefore, it SHOULD be counted as a weighted class!

Many of us specifically asked our teachers/counselors and were told it is WEIGHTED. After being told it is, it's really unfair that it doesn't get counted toward our GPA especially since this is by no means an easy class.

Computer Science is my favorite class, and it's definitely a harder course. Remove the validity of the course as an advanced course, and you lose a lot of kids aspirations. Why study for computer science when it isn't a GPA boosted class?

If the phrase 'AP' was included in the course name and students signed up under the understanding that it was weighted, it only seems fair that they receive the weighted score for this year. It's understandable if they decide to change this next year after students have been informed, but having an exception to the policy for the special circumstances this year is the fair thing to do.

You should clarify between AP Computer Science 1 and Principles of Computer Science (AP). Only the latter is affected by this change, and is named in the title, but the description references AP Comp Sci 1, which to my knowledge, is not going to be affected by this change. It feels almost intentionally misleading in that regard.

I am a student at Westwood high school and I think computer science should be a GPA weighted class.
This should be counted as the students were misinformed about this.
