The students have put in a good amount of effort into this class. It is unfair that the rules are being changed in the middle of the year, so if there are any such plans kindly put them in place next year.

We don't (currently) have a child in this class, but wanted to express our opinion that changing the class point ranking after the class has started is very inappropriate. Given the ultra-competitive nature of Westwood and the rat-race for class rankings, this is really unfair, especially since the class is an AP class and has an associated AP test.
Please consider awarding AP points for the class this year, changing it for next year, and communicating this change to all parents/students.

...this is not fair towards people who would like to take this class and have it weighted. Also my friend roped me into this- but it's for a good cause : )

It's ridiculous to offer a class that has an AP test but not have the class weighted as an AP class for GPA calculation, and it's unfair to change the designation mid-year.
If kids decided that it is important for them then you should go with it. Evev one person education is matter for good society. Help these kids to be prepare for there better future and for better societies.
