We urge you to immediately release and rehabilitate Khural newspaper chief editor, Avaz Zeynalli.
As the discussion of the video footage capturing ex-MP, Gular Akhmedova demanding a bribe of $ 1 million in exchange for a parliamentary seat spans Internet, TV, radio and print media, Zeynalli’s faces up to 12 years’ imprisonment accused of trying to extort money from Akhmedova.
It is time to finally to drop all charges against Avaz Zeynalli and compensate him for the harm suffered.

I never thought I would see this level of energy surrounding Avaz's case but honestly the momentum is just incredible right now. People are finally paying attention to the absurdity of these extortion charges and it makes me feel like maybe we have a real path forward even though the situation is still so incredibly heavy and stressful.

What a joke. Throwing a journalist in jail for 12 years because he found out about their bribes?? Disgraceful.
