With the expansion of commercial and residential properties in the Saratoga Springs area, horse owners are finding it difficult to ride safely in our community. We are asking the City Council of Saratoga Springs to:

1. Redefine safe horseback riding trails and erect signage warning residents to be cautious in the presence of riders.

2. Promote the Equine facilities in the city area and the sport of horseback riding in Community Civic newsletters.

3. Educate the public about safety around horses and riders . Share the streets and trails.

Silver Springs Stables has been in operation for over 20 years in this location and unless we make our voices heard, we will loose our place in this community.

Too many communities have lost their rural heritage. Hopefully this civic and educational effort will help make a blueprint for other communities as well.

The Horse Industry is a thriving and productive econonkical to keep in any community. Big money making items are : Veternarians, trucks, tires, fuel, hay, etc!!!! Equine are not going away and need to be kept and worked into communities and communities like Saratoga Springs need to do! I live north in a rural/suburban area and own horses.

Stop discriminating against horse people! The public needs to be educated about how to treat riders and their horses and how to act safely around them.

I boarded at Silver Springs tables unloved the facility and the location of This Barn. It was a very family-friendly place and it would be a huge detriment to lose that in our community! There are still people who actually lived here because we could have horses!

It is so sad that we are loosing places to ride our horses. We have very few place we don't have to trailer to.

Utah has an amazing equine community and heritage. Most families in the area love seeing us with our horses. Families stop in their cars and everyone jumps out to pet our horses and ask questions. Fact is this facility has been present long before all the homes. Homeowners were aware we were here and still chose to buy.
