MHSA is a place where children with multiple talents get prepared for their future in a career in the arts. Cutting programs that would prevent them for furthering their talents is the wrong thing to do for future students that audition, work hard to become successful. It saddens me to know that an arts school will no longer have an arts program to help them succeed.

The arts is where I was fully able to express my talent no other way. This school shaped me to be a better person.

It's vital to the life of the district that MPS retains a high school dedicated to the arts. Watering down the arts focus while maintaining an Arts name compromises our integrity as a public school district.

Many of my MHSA students are working professional musicians. Their education at MHSA was integral step in their development.

The arts was a place where I and many other were able be themselves . Explore their artistic abilities . As part of once the MHSA family we must keep it like that!

The education that I received at MHSA was one of the most invaluable experiences of my life. A necessary experience that molded me into the quality of the creative/artist/human being that I have become today. To gut this experience from current & future students is an abomination & anything that can be done to prevent it should be out into action. Please sign & share to protect the arts education of our students.

This is a school where you can use your talent for a grade and get recognition for it . A school where all the teachers no matter the subject tryed to help . Where you can go and be as weird as you want with still fitting in . Keep Arts

Attending public arts schools was the single most influential factor in shaping who I am today. Without the two hours of dance instruction I received daily, I truly believe that I would be less driven, motivated and inspired today. I can't imagine how different my lie would be without the arts in my schools.

In 10 years of college, I never had a class that taught me more than AP English at MHSA did.
