It’s will better serve the community in town closer to the services that they need

I have lived in this subdivision since 2001-2 and it’s a beautiful place.. we don’t want anyone messing it up.. how about they build this place near The Ridges

Leave County Farm AS IS! As a neighbor, we do NOT need the said mentioned proposal(s) to be a part of our community.

This is not the right location for transient housing. Historically maybe, but the entire region is much more populated than when the property was “historically” used for “indigent “ individuals. There are multiple neighborhoods in and around the property. A park increases property values. Having homeless, addicted individuals or adjudicated persons will invariably decrease property values, potentially increase crime rates and make the entire area around the property a less desirable place to live. I adamantly oppose any and all proposals that include any housing of individuals and vehemently oppose the addition of new housing/lodging on the property. The “potential” economic benefits are far eclipsed by the irreparable damage that would be caused by housing individuals at the property. Agreed, we need more parks. Make it a park and let it be. I implore you.

NO to homeless housing, intermediate housing, drug rehab, and NO to tying in any of these in to any version of Grace Manor proposal. Also, if you take federal tax money, then you will need to take in Migrants into these programs eventually. Mark my words. These programs have a place in town along 11 or in the Urban areas. Not in the country and suburbs and neighborhoods.

There are no services to support this type of use. These uses should be closer to town and public transit

This use doesn’t make sense, so far away from the services that the people would need

I believe the county farm would be best used as a green space, Dog park, for those of us in the county and outside of Jonesborough

This should never be placed anywhere in our area! Any officials that would consider this should be removed from their positions. Period.

I understand a vital need for this. That being said, a farm country is not the appropriate location! Do NOT allow what could become a beautiful area tainted with drugs. Yes it happens.

Public land in a rural area with family homes around should not be used to house those who are drug addicted, homeless, and / or mentally ill. Those who own homes there would suffer increased crime and loss of property value. Families with children will not want their kids to play outside without close supervision. Those housed at such a treatment center would be too far away from the medical and mental health services they need. The County Farm public land should be used for the benefit of all county citizens in the form of a park with diverse amenities including nature study, walking and biking trails, and gathering areas. There is nothing like that in the area of the county farm. Based on the renderings shown for these treatment centers, it appears a corporation is funding their development. Why would the commission want to use public land to enrich a corporation? Is the company building this getting land at a reduced value or for free? Are we expecting that much increased tax revenues? Is this personally benefiting only a few? Is virtue signaling more important than benefiting hardworking taxpayer homeowners? What is the angle here? If the money is followed I’m sure we will find out.
