Preserve Our Neighborhood

I am a resident right next to county farm and have children I absolutely do not want this near my family!

This would not be good for Jonesborough maybe look in Johnson city closer to hospitals more options for homeless!

We have already had a lot of development in this area.

Keep our neighborhood safe and clean and our property values secure. We do not want intermediate housing, homeless shelter or a drug recovery facility in our area - or the extra traffic they will add to our already overcrowding area.

"intermediate housing, a place for drug recovery, or housing for the homeless" are places that the population generally needs access to more services and public transportation. Having one of these here is not the best decision for it's clients. Also, open and wooded spaces are highly needed in what is becoming an overdeveloped area. I support keeping this space as natural as possible.

No thank you. The concern with recovery and housing is safety. We already are dealing with addicts trespassing and putting our children's safety at risk just stumbling home from the county drunk tank. These needy populations are better served in the city, near services (transportation and mental health). Funding runs out quickly and isolation leads to bad things. I am not willing to risk my children's safety anymore. We escaped a big city where this was the norm. Don't let virtue signaling blind you to the negative reality of this.

No! Put it in town somewhere the people using it can get to and have access to services. Leave the land and use it as a park if you must do something.

I do not want to see the woods destroyed. There is an abundance of wildlife there at any given time. Also, having intermediate housing in this area, would put those living there who may be without reliable transportation, in a food desert, with the closest grocery store approximately 5 miles away. There is not access to public transportation that far into the county. Those in recovery need easy access to the services they are utilizing, not out in a rural area. I would support a low impact park with walking trails in the woods. I do not want to see the woods cleared to make way for a community center.

I think homeless shelters and low income housing and rehabs and a great thing but the old JMS school or different unused buildings should be used and not take more land away. There are plenty of buildings that can be used.

These facilities need to be in the city close to facilitates that will help insure their sucess. They have no business being in the country cut off from much needed resources.

Mockingbird Place is a wonderful neighborhood full of families and persons that take pride in their homes and their community. We urge you to consider what is best for our community, the persons you were elected to represent.

No neef in trying to hide these people. They are human too. What are you thinking? Homeless have no transportation needed for picking up food. Drs appts. Needs to be closer to town.

Why can the property not just be a park ? Low impact, inexpensive, available to all county citizens. We are a quiet residential community with children everywhere. Leave the homeless in Johnson City where social services are close by and there is lots of law enforcement supervision.

I don't want this in my neighborhood

To many housing developments already exist and multiplying daily! Our land in the Tri-cities area needs to be preserved and protected from all this development as does the safety of our people!

No temporary or recovery housing in Jonesborough. We have a beautiful community. Please keep it that way.

Agree we do not need intermediate housing in this area and should preserve it for walking trails and a park . Crime is a huge concern.
