Pre-K programs are designed specifically to make sure our children are ready for kindergarten and school readiness. The initiative to offer full-day programs in public schools is great but what are families to do when the program isn't offered in their zoned school.
Families are forced to compete for a seat in a other areas or they haven't been awarded a seat at any school which causes an inconvenience and added stress.
There is a solution to this problem -
Allow P.S. 45 to offer a Pre-K program for its zoned families!
The P.S. 45 administration has been working diligently to open up a Pre-K program for the school. The school has the space, staff, and resources to make this possible. We need your support to make the officials aware that a Pre-K program is needed in our community.

So tired of the lottery system. P.S. 45 is a great school and our kids deserve to start their education with their neighbors.
Keep it local. Let the kids stay at 45.
They have the space so just open the doors already! My daughter needs this.
My son is zoned for 45 and we have no where to go for pre-k. It makes no sense to drive across town when we have a local school right here.
PLEASE let this happen! Really stressed about kindergarten prep and not having a spot at our zoned school is just nuts.
