The Legislature voted to keep the daily prayer and I am honestly just relieved that the struggle is finally over. It has been a long and draining process but your persistence forced them to listen. We can rest now knowing our tradition remains intact.
Our prayers are answered this day, June 12, 2008.
It is a good news to all those who fought to preserve the daily recital of the Lord\'s Prayer in the Ontario Legislature.
In a compromise reached four months after Premier Dalton McGuinty said the prayer would no longer be read in the Legislature, MPPs yesterday voted unanimously to maintain the traditional daily prayer reading in the House.
We hereby close off this petition with great joy. And we thank you for your support in this matter.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you, now and forever.
We just hit one thousand signatures on this petition. It has been a long and draining struggle, but seeing this number reminds me why I started this fight in the first place.

We hit one hundred signatures today. It has been a long and draining process reaching this point but I am not stopping now.

The path forward is exhausting and the opposition is not going to yield easily. We need to reach one hundred signatures to ensure our request cannot be ignored by those in power.
