Please sign our petition on global warming and responsible energy policy. This Petition will be sent to the Democratic and Republican presidential candidates in early September 2008, shortly after the Democratic and Republican national conventions. We, the undersigned, have signed this petition to let you know our position on global warming and responsible energy policy. We believe that global warming and domestic energy policy needs to be taken seriously. As such, we will align ourselves as voters with the candidates who offer the best platform to address these issues. Specifically, we are looking for: - An energy policy which will quickly move us away from dependence on foreign oil - An energy policy which will encourage the development of clean, renewable domestic energy - An energy policy which will make utilities reduce harmful emissions from existing power sources without creating additional financial burden for ordinary citizens. We will be looking for specific proposals along these lines, and not just a promise for change.
