With growing skepticism for the Lieberman-Warner Act, attention needs to be shifted to the Global Warming Pollution Reduction Act of 2007. With backing from groups such as the Sierra Club, the Environmental Defense Fund, Greenpeace US, and the Union of Concerned Scientists, Congress needs to take a second look at the bill\'s realistic and effective methods that will prevent global warming through the worldwide reduction of dangerous pollution output. This bill is in the first step in the legislative process. Introduced bills go first to committees that deliberate, investigate, and revise them before they go to general debate. The majority of bills never make it out of committee. Currently it is being reviewed by the Senate Environment and Public Works committee. Before Congress can be officially petitioned with any success, we MUST get your signiture for it to hold any ground in a high court.
