'The PLP (Personal Learning Plan) is the first 'new' SACE subject that students will undertake in the new SACE, beginning in 2009. The PLP is a compulsory subject, designed to help each student research and plan for his or her pathway through the SACE and beyond school. ' Many Year 10 students around South Australia fail to see the purpose let alone the benefit of PLP towards future subject choices and employment opportunities, and therefore would agree to taking the PLP out of the curriculum. If you are one of these students please sign the petition so we no longer have to do PLP.

Updates

September 18, 2009

I am hearing from students across the state who feel like this class is a complete waste of time. I am currently gathering these stories to present alongside our petition. Send this link to three classmates today and tell them why you want this requirement dropped.

The momentum behind this push is real and shows how many students are tired of wasting time on the PLP. Post this link on your Facebook wall right now to keep the pressure up. Email your local representative to tell them why this compulsory subject needs to go.

Worst subject ever. Just a huge waste of time when I could be focusing on subjects that actually help me get into uni.
