It's National Information Literacy Awareness Month, and we want YOU, the ever-important librarian, to pledge your commitment to teaching and instilling information literacy skills to America's youth.

Information literacy skills are imperative for an informed and educated citizenry. Academic librarians, teacher librarians, media specialists--the titles vary, and we educate different age groups, but our goal remains the same: to instill and provide the skills necessary to assess, evaluate, and utilize information effectively.
TeachInfoLit.org is a website moderated by librarian Emily Gover. It provides information about upcoming webinars, and collects resources that can be utilized to teach information literacy, including list serv information, infographics and statistics. EasyBib.com is the largest online research management tool. It provides bibliography, citation, research and website evaluation features. Last year, EasyBib was used by over 37 million students.
