A Petition to President Obama, the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives:

We, the undersigned, are concerned that our children won’t have access to books when school librarian positions are cut. We ask that the U.S. Government fund librarians in all public schools across the nation.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS. how are kids supposed to learn to read properly without someone to guide them? stop cutting funding for our schools!!

My wife is a librarian and she does so much more than just check out books. People have no idea what they actually do all day.

Librarians are essential. Not everyone has internet at home so school libraries are the only way they learn how to research. Leave them alone!

My kids love the library. Taking that away is just wrong. Schools need books and the people who know how to help them find them.
