I have always stood close to Coventry Soccer. It was heartbreaking when Mike and Missy Mansour were stripped of their coaching roles due to two yellow cards issued and apparently moving in a different direction. The reason offered is neither sufficient nor fair, especially when you consider their commitment and track record.
Mike and Missy Mansour are brilliant coaches, their exclusion seems biased and based on the will of the board rather than their efficiency in the field. They have been the driving force behind the numerous victories and their absence would gravely impact the performance and spirit of coventry soccer. Unfortunately, the decisions made by our board reflect their own preference, not necessarily what is best for our children or what the Coventry community wants.
It's important to emphasize that if someone is deemed unfit to coach based on legitimate grounds, that's a different story. However, the basis upon which the Mansour’s are being removed was far from this. Let us not forget that getting two yellow cards does not always mean the coaches were in the wrong. Sometimes it could be the ref having a bad day and should be investigated and the coaches should not have such draconian consequences.
The power seems disproportionately skewed in favor of the board, rather than the members, players, and families who make up this sports association. Efforts to democratize decisions, especially those that affect the children and their favourite coaches, should be implemented.
And so, this petition is much more than just about reinstating two coaches; we need to put more power back into the hands of the parents by voting on such important issues. Stand with us to bring back Mike and Missy Mansour to where they belong. Please, sign this petition to help make a difference.
I’ve known Mike & Missy for many years. They have been involved with their children’s many sporting teams. In all the years, they have been fair, levelheaded and children’s best interests in mind. After many years of being involved in sports without issue, this seems suspect for both to receive yellow cards. This seems targeted and purposefully malicious for someone else’s gain at their expense.

I can’t believe that I have to sign something like this for youth sports. These 2 coaches have gone above and beyond for years and years. Dedicated to the town of Coventry since they played as children. I honestly didn’t believe this when I heard it. So I encourage this board to take a back seat and listen to the people signing this.

I think these two fine upstanding citizens are crazy for wanting to continue to coach as people/parents are ridiculous when it comes to sports. This town/organization doesn’t deserve to have them volunteer their valuable time or energy but if Mr. & Mrs. Mansour want to continue making a difference in Youth soccer in this town then you all should be grateful and reinstate them.

My son has not been in CSA for long, but he did have one coach last year who literally said he wished he knew the rules of the game…meaning he barely knew anything about soccer yet was coaching a team. Then you have Mike and Missy who live and breathe soccer. I cannot imagine that whatever these yellow cards were for could cancel all their years of dedication to the sport and this organization. This whole situation needs to reevaluated and they need to be reinstated!

Mike and Missy have been a game changer and an asset to the sport it would be a great loss to the community and the children to lose them and there expertise in the field. Also having brought up respectful children shows you what kind of role model as parents they. Please reconsider your decision that you imposed on them.
