The Lockwood family has officially been selected for the home renovation project. It is profound to see how many people looked out for this local family and recognized the need for a safer environment for Joey. We will follow the progress of the home transformation with great interest while the …
The Lockwood Family, from Hammonton NJ need help. The family is made up of Dad- Gary, Mom- Colleen,
Sons Joey age 9 and Dylan age 7. Joey has autism. The family home does not seem to be a safe home for
Joey. On Novemember 27, 2011, Joey put his head through the family's upstairs window. Luckily he came
out with only a minor cut, but it could have been much worse. Joey was diagnosed with autism at the age of
29 months. Joey has alot of aggression issues and behaviors. He has made alot of improvements over the
years, but he will always have autism. Colleen and Gary have done alot for the local autism community.
Colleen started and is President of the FACES Autism Support Network's Hammonton Chapter. FACES is a
support group for families dealing with autism. Colleen helps run montly support group meeting and with
help of fellow members, the Hammonton Chapter holds an Annual Blowing Bubbles for Autism Day and
Motorcycle Run. We are signing this petition in hopes of getting the attention of "ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" to make improvements to their home for Joey's safety and growth in the family home. Please sign to show your support. Thank you!!
Reaching five hundred signatures will provide a significant level of visibility for the Lockwood family as they seek a safer home environment. I hope you will consider sending this link to a few people in your circle to help us reach that marker before the week concludes.

Seeing one hundred people recognize the needs of the Lockwood family is deeply encouraging. This milestone suggests that our community truly values the tireless work Colleen has performed for others over the years.
