We started this petition because we are in desperate need of help. Seven months ago we combined households due to a tragic accident resulting in permenant quadraplegia. A family of 5 happy and full of life devastated when the father, Brad, almost lost his life on his way to work, being hospitalized for 6 months. Now that he is home 6 months after the accident we are facing life head on. We have 3 kids and are living with my mom and her husband. There is hardly any room for Brad to get around in his electric wheelchair, or to use ANY part of the house functionally. There is hardly any room for his equipment as well. It restricts his rehabilitation and being as close as we can be as a family. He went from a hard working independent father, supporting us by working on a rig for 5 years, to totally dependant on others. We are trying to give back to Brad and find a way for our family to strive.
