The Teddy Bear program GREATLY benefited my newly adopted child who came from another country. At age 3, this was his first opportunity to integrate with his Canadian peers in a safe and educationally play-based program. This program helped him develop language skills (transitioning from Cantonese/Mandarin to English) social skills, and behavioural norms. The high school students who worked with my son have gone on to serve our community in other areas where they are working with children. It is a rich educational opportunity for our young people, and the program should by all accounts continue.

This is an amazing program... my daughter who is 20 now was in the program when she was little! It's very beneficial for both the students and the little buddies, my other daughter who was in the class last semester has learned so much and would not stop telling me about her little buddy!

My twin girls went to Teddy Bear school and loved it. They went in 2007. It was a great experience for them and their high school buddies. It was helpful in preparing my children and myself for kindergarten. My girls will be starting high school this fall and were hoping to have an opportunity to become big buddies due to the fond child hood memories.

This is an amazing program that has been around since the 1980's. It needs to remain as there is such a need for it and priceless skills taught to those teens who take the class.

Our daughter has attended Teddy Bear for the last year and a half. I have seen first hand what it can do for both the preschooler and the high school student. The bond they form and the lessons learned are priceless

A very valuable program for the students and the children attending. My daughter enjoyed her time there so much and the teachers provide an amazing learning environment for both their students and the children. This program needs to continue for sure!!!

This program is an amazing benefit to the future of our youth. And it would be a shame to let it go without a fight! I was a part of it when I was in high school at odds and formed a life long friendship with my little buddy that I still have to this day! Please reconsider!!!!

A program where young adults can interact and assist with children is a positive benefit not only to themselves but to the community as a whole. This program needs to continue.

Iam currently an EA at the school and cannot say enough about how valuable this program is for the students. Teaching care and compassion and to see "at risk" students connect and feel valuable in this program is beautiful. These programs teach students more valuable life skills then academics.

People loved and learned from this program for many years; while other parents depend on it. Please don't cancel such a positive and reciprocal relationship within our community.
