This application is not in keeping with the character of the street, and the building in the garden is an eyesore now, which will become worse when it is finally inhabited as from the look of it, that is obviously it's intended use.
Also has no one visited the site, as the plans do not match the existing dwelling, lastly, if I provide cycle parking, will I be allowed to utilise all available floor space for my dwelling.
What ever happened to the garden.

The proposed plans would not be in line with the character of the street, and would add to parking congestion that at times is a serious issue.

Reference my comment of 15th Feb, just a note to point out that I was actually referring to no 21 Selwood Road.Therefore to clarify;
I am against the application of converting no 21. Selwood Road to 2 dwellings.
I feel that the plans for the planning application is confusing. as it shows that the existing building has a side extension and a rear extension already built which is not the case.
The conversion to 2 dwellings would be out of character with the rest of the road.
Also the parking on the road would also be affected in a negative way.
The rear double extension would cut the light out to both my neighbours at no 19 & no 23.

Tony & Helen Michael 26 Selwood Road.
This is a deeply concerning issue and we are completely against this development.
It will affect everyone on Selwood Road not just the direct neighbours. This is DOES NOT keep within the traditional residential outlook of the street. These houses are semi detached and should stay like that. This will affect the value of our houses as well as the security. The parking will also be an element of concern and will be problematic if this goes ahead.
The second concerning issue, is how they have managed to build an outbuilding already !!! This needs to be stopped immediately.!!!!!!!

We are strongly against the outbuilding that has been erected which was not in the original plans as it is an eyesore and it will set precedent for anyone else to build the same thing and totally change the character of the gardens.

As a resident of Selwood Road I am very concerned to hear of the proposed building work on house number 21. It will not be in keeping with the rest of the houses in what is a quiet, residential and close-knit road. I am concerned about the distress this will cause the neighbours and possible parking and light issues.

This development would be totally out of character with the other properties. Parking is already a problem this would only make it worse. please don't spoil our road

We are strongly against the proposed conversion of a traditional 3 bedroom semi detached house to 2 dwellings,as well as the proposed double storey rear extension.
Every house in Selwood Road remain as "traditional" houses, they are all of the same style and are all in keeping with the surrounding roads, and the addition of an extra side door is not in keeping with this.We also feel that The application plans are misleading as they show the " existing" elevations as they would be built against planning application A2015/72806/HHA.
This gives the impression that 21 Selwood Road already has a double side extension and single rear extension.
The extra dwelling would also add to the already problematic parking problems, in that there is only 1 parking space for 2 dwellings which may contravene regulations.

While I do not live in the road, I visit family in the road frequently and oppose these plans. They will make parking even more difficult than it already is on this congested and narrow road. The plans will also not be in keeping with appearance of the other homes. Jade Wright

I think it's really sad that in this lovely quiet residential road , that's it is even being considered to have 2 separate dwellings on a site that is originally for a small 3 bed house. Don't spoil our little road please.!!!!!!

I am totally disgusted at both the approach and execution of the house conversion at number 21 Selwood Road. Not only has planning been concealed from the fellow residents of what is a close-knit community, but furthermore there has been a significant lack of forethought and regard for the impact on the neighbouring resident's, their properties and the road itself.
This point is epitomised in the 'right to light' easement within English law. The amount of natural light that will be received by number 23, 19 and 17 Selwood Road will be greatly reduced. This will be particularly true during the summer months and may be breaking the law.
Another aforementioned point within the petition mentions the already overcrowded parking within the road. There is barely enough parking spaces for the current demand, which will only be worsened by the presence of 2 new sets of residents and what will be expected of a minimum of 2, but more likely 4 vehicles. Moreover, this may contravene regulations and be a inconvenience to all current and future residents.
A third consideration is the 'Change of Use' to the property. The two neighbouring homes were informed of the first extensions, that were to improve the space within the house. However, the covert approach taken by the developers to undertake a further double extension and create both flats and a maisonette is abhorrent. This is not in keeping with the appearance of the road at all and will be source of embarrassment to all residents.
Finally, and most crucially, the proposed plans show a 'current structure' that is not indicative of the structural reality. Upon viewing the property it is evident that there is no double side extension as the plans show.
With all factors considered I believe that this conversion should be prohibited as it will negatively impact the space, light, sense of community and appearance of the road. It will cause stress to many elderly residents and damaging to the current way of life.

The submitted floor plans for the existing dwelling are misleading and wrong. It gave the impression that the current house was much bigger then it actually is. The proposed conversion of one house into 2 flats is not in keeping with the surrounding area. It will set a dangerous precedent in terms of acceptable development in this quiet residential area. I also notice that a very large outhouse is currently being built in the garden of 21 Selwood road. I don't know what it is for and if it requires planning consent. It is important for the planning officer to visit the site to understand the residents' serious misgiving of such a big development. Thank you

I am in agreement with my neighbours about this proposed development, I feel it will be totally out of character with the rest of the houses, also this plot of land was intended for one dwelling not two, Further more I feel the total amount of cubic meters is more than should be allowed for the proposed development.
My other concern is that close neighbours of this development will have restricted light from these buildings so what is the maximum build size??.

Firstly i would like to know why the plans that have been agreed were not advertised to the residents as they ought to and why no planning details signs were put up? My objections to this are that this is a residential road made up of 3 bed semi detached properties. This proposal is totally out of character for the surrounding properties. It will also be so close to no. 21 Selwood Road it will have a huge impact on their light within their dining room, main bedroom and kitchen. I understand that a 91 year old lady lives there with who is partially sighted! Lastly having two properties there with 5 bedrooms could have a major impact on the parking with the possibility of 5 additional cars and only one parking space! Come on, there must be some rules with regard this Sutton Planning!
