Our purpose is to help ensure the long term viability of the cemetery in a manner that represents the wishes of those who have an interest in preserving its non-religious affiliation. The cemetery's historical intention and ongoing existence since 1878 has been as an entity without religious affiliation. To change that would be a violation of the original intention and its one hundred thirty-five year legacy. If the cemetery were to become religiously affiliated, options would narrow for those wishing to be buried in Northbridge.
