Picture Rocks Montanas Del Sol RV Park N Tula Ln Rezoning

This RV park would change the entire dynamics of the Picture Rocks community. We would also have to consider fire/emergency services necessary to support the addition of 200 RV slot community with our already growing population. Not to mention the impact of all wildlife in our area, including the increase in coyote population with the decrease of other wildlife. There are too many negatives for this type of residency.

We are outside of the 1000 ft radius, but this would be horrible for the animals, residents and plants and traffic would be a nightmare!

Not the best location for something like that. The traffic going through the monument would be horrific for animals and people alike. No not in that area.

We live very near this project and many of us are on 3 to 5 acre lots of natural desert. We agree with all of the above comments against this project. Furthermore Picture Rocks to Tula is off-limits to vehicles over 12,000 pounds. How do we ensure that oversize vehicles do not use this route? The current signs do not always prevent this. We are strictly opposed to this project.

An RV park of this size will be a disaster. The wildlife in this area has suffered great reductions and increases in pests due to the displacement of the coyotes. This project can result in nothing but death, destruction, and new dangers of more death and destruction.

Say no to this proposed RV park! I live just outside the 1000 ft. radius and pass this location daily. An RV park would bring traffic, noise, congestion to a pristine area that we purposely chose to live in because these types of developments didn't exist here. Our neighborhood and lifestyles would be severely negatively impacted. Not to mention the bad effects on the animals and vegetation. The roads can't handle this. We don't need this RV park here. Say no to an RV park here!

This developer couldn’t get this property to perk for 50 house development so how can this be better. I say no to this as roads can’t handle this increase in large (up to 45 ft motorhome) plus tow vehicle.

When raw land is used for a profit motive it’s never good for the land, the community, or the environment.

I petition the tula rv Park. Absolutely horrible decision. Stop the corruption now!

I strongly oppose this rezoning and planned development. This is not what this neighborhood was designed for. This would bring increased pollution of many kinds, and would destroy precious native habitats. Picture Rocks Rd is also not rated for RVs, another reason with plan is ill conceived. If this plan goes through it would set a dangerous precedent for unhinged development in the area. It must be blocked.

I am outside the boundary but live a couple blocks away and pass by this location daily. Our community does not have the infrastructure to support a development of this size. Part of what brought us to this area was the fact that we wouldn’t have hundreds of people living right next to us. This will also endanger the wildlife that roam the area. I have no idea how it would impact water runoff in an area that is plagued by flooding. This development does not offer any benefits for our community but does bring a plethora of drawbacks including increased traffic on poorly maintained roads, a strain on our water systems, possible increase in crime, and more trash, sewage, light, and noise.

I live just outside of the 1000 ft area. We can sometimes hear the trains by the freeway. This will not only bring MUCH noise to our area, but also impact all the wildlife and desert areas. There are Proghorn, mountain lions, deer, javalina, etc in this area. Also most of these RVs are restricted to travel thru the National Monument. So they would have to go thru Sandario rd and then Picture Rocks road. There will also be an increase in trash, lights, and crime in our small community. It should be located by the desert museum or even on Ina road and Wade where it's more feasible w/o disrupting our community and the wild life. Besides, isn't it a no no to have this commercial endeavor that close to the National Monument?

Dangerous spot to enter and exit. More than likely to have alot of accidents. I have also seen alot of wild life there also. NO TO THE PARK.

The road going through the sorrow part cannot handle any more traffic let alone high density project like this

Picture rocks rd and twin peaks cannot handle 200 slips worth or traffic added
