We the people of UCLA Pi Beta Phi, in order to form a more perfect sorority house, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense of cuteness, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of a dog for liberty for ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the Pi Phi Puppy.
The feedback regarding our proposal has been overwhelmingly positive and demonstrates a strong consensus among the sisters. I am currently preparing a formal presentation to address the logistics of animal care within the chapter house. Your continued enthusiasm provides the momentum necessary to move this initiative toward a productive conversation with the board.

The momentum behind this effort has grown significantly in recent weeks. Your collective commitment confirms that our house is ready to welcome a new four-legged member.

one of the things I miss most when at school is my dog! Having one in Pi phi would make it that more "homey"

I really support this idea! College is the first time many sisters are living away from home and family. A house dog would help ease this sudden transition by reducing stress. Also, having a house dog will be a great incentive for more girls to want to live in and for those who live-out to visit the house more frequently. This increase in involvement will promote sincere friendship, a Pi Beta Phi core value. We will connect through our love of our Pi Phi Puppy. Thank you for considering the individual requests of our CA Delta Chapter.

Dogs help to reduce stress, and UCLA is such a high stress environment everyone would benefit from interaction with the puppy!

Having a puppy in the house would be an incentive for non live-ins to come visit the house more often and spend more time with our sisters. During finals week, the puppy would be a stress reliever. Also during lonely times, the puppy would be there to lift spirits and make us feel more at home. Furthermore during recruitment it would be a conversation starter and a way to sway girls into wanting to join Pi Phi!

A Pi Phi puppy would add another incentive to spend time at the house. Girls can play with the puppy, while bonding with the other girls at the house, thus, deepening our sisterhood bonds and creating memories for lifelong friendship.

I would love having a dog around and I think it would be nice for Marti to have a close little companion.
