We the undersigned congregation of the Nigel Methodist Church (NMC) request that the Superintendent, Rev. Z Fumba, withdraw the appointment of the incumbent as per the email correspondence dated 1 December 2023 and 20 December 2023. As the congregation of NMC we do not accept the appointment of the incumbent as proposed because this will put additional strain on the already constrained cash flow to the Church as we are not in the position to pay any assessment and/or any additional cost for an incumbent. The NMC congregation was not consulted or communicated with about the appointment/placement. As dedicated members of NMC we would like to remind the Superintendent of the South East Rand Circuit 1012 that without a congregation the church would not exist. We further request that the response of the Superintendent of the South East Rand Circuit 1012 be communicated to the NMC Society Stewards so that the congregation can be informed accordingly.

The sheer number of people who have stepped up proves that Rev. Fumba can no longer ignore our voices. This momentum shows that the congregation has finally reached its breaking point regarding these reckless financial decisions. We are not going anywhere until the Circuit leadership realizes the church belongs to us.

Church funds are tight enough as it is. We can't keep paying for people who the congregation never asked for.
The church cannot survive if we keep adding costs we dont have the money for. Stop this now.
This really isn't fair treatment to the nigel members. We have been loyal for years and deserve to be heard before decisions are made for us.
I am not in favor of the new appointment of the Deacon. We definitely can't afford this. We are only a small congregation and mostly Pensioners.
I do not believe we can afford this change , please reconsider keeping Albert , thank you
We can not afford the new pastor thus don't agree.
