Church funds are tight enough as it is. We can't keep paying for people who the congregation never asked for.

The church cannot survive if we keep adding costs we dont have the money for. Stop this now.

This really isn't fair treatment to the nigel members. We have been loyal for years and deserve to be heard before decisions are made for us.

Churches in SA are already in such dire straits, closing left right and centre and this is how the Methodist Church of SA conducts itself? Didn’t God say to ‘humble yourself and honour me in all things.’ Shame on the Methodist church of SA for being deceitful and plotting against the Nigel Methodist Church congregation by not openly discussing removing the current pastor and replacing him with a deacon. This decision was made by the Methodist church of SA in September of 2023 but NMC was only informed in December 2023! . It’s so disrespectful to this congregation and the community that relies on this pastor and congregation to make their lives a little better. Relationships have been nurtured and trust has been established with the community of Nigel and this congregation and you rip that away from the people by imposing someone new on them they didn’t consent to and know nothing about! I do not consent to this deacon (who has very little experience) to now run the Nigel Methodist Church.

I am not in favor of the new appointment of the Deacon. We definitely can't afford this. We are only a small congregation and mostly Pensioners.
