I am against this project. This is a Met Council project that looks to bring subsidized high density housing to the suburbs.

Keep charm - Excelsior is expanding, but doing it in a way to keep it's small town feel. Also, figure out parking, traffic, and school situation before adding this amount of people to an already congested area.

Redeveloped is needed but high density apartments with an additional grocery store (with 3 other grocery stores within 2 blocks) is a poor decision. Chan can do better.

I oppose this project because I don't think it is a good idea for Chanhassen and its residents. We don't want to look like Wayzata with all its high rise buildings. No thank you.

Do not change the historic "Frontier Building" look. Replace or renovate the current structure keeping the storefronts and canopied walkways. Then add a recessed apartment tower and/or Aldi if necessary, that matches the style of the existing building!!!!!!!!!!!! Learn a lesson from the 100's of articles about how a city regrets what they tore down!!!!!!!

Proposed development is too big and will remove much of the charm of the area

I am concerned about the apartments limited parking as well as turning into section 8 housing. Limited parking for Aldis as well and the traffic problems it will generate. The developer has made many claims of dealing with these issues, but has always said we will maybe do this if you do that. I am not saying we can't have an apartment building or Aldis in Chanhassen, just not downtown! The only reason the developer wants a 6 story apartment building is he can't get tif if it were only 3 story, thus it would not be profitable.

Aldi and this over sized apartment complex are not a fit for downtown Chan. This proposed space presents a huge opportunity to create an asset for our community and a draw for those around us. This plan is lazy. it's uncreative, uninspiring, uninteresting and overall boring.

No thank you, do something just not this, like a down town excelsior!!! That would be nice.
