I am so unbelievably disappointed in our mayor and city council to approve this. I have yet to talk to anyone in the city of Chanhassen that actually supports this development. Our mayor and the supporting city council members are not representing the interests of the citizens of Chanhassen. We don't need this kind of development and we certainly don't want it. These officials were elected to represent the interests of the people in their city, but as far as I can tell they are only supporting the interests of the big developers. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Chanhassen has plenty of option for food shopping, we certainly don't need another. Especially in an area so crowded, and so close to the already busy Elementry School area.

Chan resident. I live within walking distance of this project. It is a very poor choice for this space. This project is a block from an already overcrowded elementary school. It would tower over the surrounding quiet residential neighborhoods. There are four other grocery stores within a mile. Three of our city councilors (including the mayor) were too frightened of the developers and backers to oppose this project. Hopefully the citizens can have an impact.

We can do a lot better than another grocery store in this area - I would not shop at Aldi. An apartment building over 2 stories does not seem aesthetically appealing in this area either.

Thoughtful development in Chanhassen is a good thing, but this proposed apartment building, at six stories high, is simply not a good fit for Chanhassen, or in keeping with the small-town feel which is the reason so many people moved here to begin with.

I feel that the size and scope of this building does not 'fit' what the Chanhassen suburb & small community style that is desired and how we received #2 in the country for small towns. Yes, growth is good, as long as the original style is maintained. Comments such as " if you want that feel, move West' only continues the sprawl and just says ' keep moving, we are taking over here.' Lower the height and keep the style of the area (Chan Dinner Theater, Senior living apartments near Total Wine. Even Total Wine and the other 'new buildings' have the Chaska 'brick' look and are not ultra modern. Thanks.
