As Chanhassen resident I am against this project. How this project got legs while better ideas have been shut down is amazing.

I do not want my ta dollars co-funding this project. Let them downsize and re budget on their own time and with their own funds.

If it's not viable without public subsidies, then it's not the right plan. Wrong grocery store, wrong scale, wrong price tag.

Agreeing to this will totally destroy why Chanhassen is a treasured suburb. To add insult to injury...WE HELP TO FUND THIS? I feel so safe in Chan, people are so friendly, all family friendly...just a sweet town that you will be removing. Increase traffic, no parking, higher crime, HIGHER TAXES, small town feel will be gone...along with ME! I am totally opposed to this HORRIBLE idea.

stop trying to ruin what is wonderful about the small downtown. we don't need another grocery store in a block area and i am a ALDI's shopper!

As a Chanhassen resident I do not support the construction of the Aldi/134 amparment complex project. It will increase the taxes of local residents who do not benefit directly from this construction. It will lead to overcrowding in an already populated downtown area of the city. Also, there are already many large grocery stores in the area (Cub, Byerlys, Lakewinds), so another one is unecessary. And Aldi itself as a large corporate grocery chain will not help support local businesses in the area. This is not a well thought out plan for the long term well being of Chanhassen residents. This plan should NOT be passed.

Everyone knows that bringing in a store like Aldi deteriorates the neighborhood. It's like the Walmart of grocery stores. If you want Chanhassen to become Fridley in 20 years, then support Aldi in Chan. It'll soon be surrounded by vape shops, payday loan stores and tattoo studios.
