No no and no. Our community is NOT in favor of this. There are four grocery stores within a mile of this proposed space. Also the design will not match either of the neighboring buildings. Third the transit station that you do optimistically think will benefit will not--a recent local news article pointed out its 3/4 empty most days.

We already have 4 grocery stores within walking distance of one another, plus a Kowalskis just to the east in EP and one north in Excelsior. And why are we suddenly allowing a 6 story building? Wonder who's getting the kickback from this monstrosity.

I am opposed to this project.
1. Our tax dollars should not be used to subsidize the Pholad family project.
2. A six story building is out of proportion to the space. Downtown Chanhassen is charming and should be kept that way with buildings that suit the area. A building of this nature is better suited to the highway 212 area.
3. We already have several grocery stores, no need for another.

Ridiculous! A 6 story building downtown? Twice the height of the hotel next door doesn't make any sense. Definitely doesn't portray a hometown feeling for downtown Chanhassen.

It's ridiculous that a family so wealthy should ask is, the tax payers and citizens of Chanhassen to pay for their projects!

We do not approve. Seems quite silly actually. We certainly don't need another grocery store, and why on earth you want to put a 6 story building....nonsense!

We don't need more grocery stores and more clutter downtown.
You don't need to make the same decision as EP and change the core of our city.

Re: #5. If this isn't a NIMBY response I don't know what is. Sounds like the same argument that many in Chan voiced when the original boundaries were drawn for the new high school.

Wish my old small town I grew up in would stay just that way, a small quiet town. Doesn't seem like that will ever happen though with all the new developments and big city influences. No more trees or farm land is what the motivation seems like. At this rate, I can't wait to move out of the town I grew up in. Sad.

Danger to airplanes? Grasping at straws aren't we? 6 story building approx 60ft. Not airplane is flying anywhere close to that low. Next ....
