For the college to say that they do not condone racism when they have not taken the step to have her removed is a sign to me that they do condone her action and if this had been the reverse they would have taken every step to do so and I wish a white male who does not believe the same would make the same comments in reverse and see if he can provoke his right ti free speech to see what their reaction would be. she is a racist. She is in the position of corrupting young minds to her way of hate. She should be removed, period.

Good thing she's a sociologist and not a historian.

I found Professor Saida Grundy's tweeted comments surprising and offending. Her attempts at an apology for her comments did nothing to address her underlying attitude towards individuals of non-color. In fact, her recent apology has only reinforced what appears to be her personal bias against, in particular, white males. Her follow up comments were little more than a non-apology. As with anyone, she should have her own beliefs. However, her beliefs (some of which appear to have questionable intellectual honesty) and her willingness to espouse them to the world only promotes racial bias. Her attitudes and beliefs will likely taint how she teaches students with strongly biased opinion. This is not the type of professor that should be associated with a world class institution. I would recommend that Boston University demand a strong public apology from Saida Grundy (what she has provided thus far is not sufficient) or consider terminating her employment contract. I would be very disappointed to see continued racial bias and sexism in the future from this professor while in association with Boston University.

If a white professor made these comments, they would've already been terminated. How were these Tweets not found prior to offering this racist a position at BU? The Tweets violate university policies and Ms. Grundy should be terminated.

If Dr. Grundy thinks her remark can help the black moving forward, she is not very smart. It is actually moving backward. It is very disappointing and we need someone smart enough in the education institution to help the black and the country understand actual issues from all perspectives, not one with biased racism.

I am simply going to ask this from everyone, if this were a WHITE professor and had expressed this same sentiment towards blacks, do you actually believe this professor would still have a job? Saida is a racist, period. There is no room in modern America for racism regardless of the color or gender of the Perpetrator! She needs to be fired.

Academics should have no place for people who judge groups by gender or skin color. Racism is ugly no matter what color your are when you practice it.

What does it take to get fired?

Unacceptable black racist that destroys the very essence of higher education. Hopefully, we can encourage white males that have been victimized by racism at this university to come forward to join pending lawsuits. High monetary judgments have a way of correcting lousy administrative behavior.

She needs to terminated effective immediately. Racism in any form cannot be tolerated in our higher education system.

Stupidity is not acceptable in a professor. Her remarks were baldly stupid. No customer or sponsor of Boston University should be satisfied with their dollars paying this person to actively attempt to make students dumber.

I find it insulting that she can be a racist but if a white teacher would have made comments against black people they would've been fired immediately and there lives ruined . It's time black people be held to the same standards as white people for there racist remarks . I hope this gets the same attention as if a white person would've made racist comments but of course we know it will not .

I am continually applaulled by liberal Universities who are brainwashing our youth to believe Western Civilization is the demise of all society. Is it? How would Saida Grundy have faired...lets say in northern Nigeria? What a little Boko Haram princess she would have made. She should be grateful for living a country that has provided the legal and social framework for her to advance professionally. I would like to see her fired and federal research money withheld from theses so called institution of higher learning who's aim it to undermine our Western centered society. It appears Boston University, like Duke University, has difficulty remembering where it came from.

Her comments were not only factually incorrect, they were reprehensible.
