It is a problem when Boston University knowingly hires an obvious, proud bigot and thereby, promotes organized hate against races, classes, genders, ideologies or religions, which is supposedly contrary to liberal philosophy. This is in your face bigotry based on personal anger and not historical injuries to any community. There is not only a problem with the message, but, the messenger. To allow her to teach at B.U. or any school, at this point, is an effrontery to all places that profess "higher learning."

Her attitude should make her ineffective to teach you students. It is flawed.

Racism is racism. PERIOD. She has no business being in a situation where she will need to be fair to a group whom she attacked for their gender and race.

As the mother of a young white male, I find her generalizations ignorant. She is as much a racist as whites who spew the same ignorance. A white professor would have been fired. I agree with free speech but it needs to be allowed on both sides, otherwise it is not truly free. If she is kept on, I expect whites or Latinos or Asians etc... to also be kept on when their comments may be found offensive. A person is a person Ms Grundy- not a color. What her comments, and those of others as ignorant as her, do is perpetuate hatred and help in using color as an excuse for self failure.

If the race of the professor and target of the statements were reversed, she would have already been dismissed.

Most interesting is her misuse of MLK's name in her "no shopping at white-owned businesses" position. Has she read any of his work? That's like saying, "Ghandi wants me to shoot this guy."
