You don't get a pass for being racist just because of the color of your skin. You ignorantly stereotyped a large portion of the student body that you will "teach". Saida Grundy has no business being a professor at Boston University with her narrow minded views.

I find any type of racism unacceptable. If this had been a white person making comments about black young men, she would have been terminated. Reverse discrimination at its best.

Absolutely inexcusable. Saida Grundy is a bigot perpetuating the very type of racism she claims to oppose.

Racist is racist does not matter if the person spouting this BS is black or white.

This is appalling. Everyone at the petition to stand in solidarity with Saida is saying that reverse racism does not exist. Reverse racism doesn't exist because it's just called racism. How is that so difficult to understand? One of the comments even says that there needs to be a holocaust for all white people and that Saida would support it. Apparently that's not racist because it's a black person saying it..

While I support free speech, given that having an unpopular or offensive opinion is now grounds from dismissal from institutes of higher education, it should be a level playing field. She must answer for her blatantly racist comments.

I find anyone's comments such as hers deplorable, regardless of their race. Universities should be more diligent when considering employment of individuals who are shaping the minds of young people.

She is a disgrace to the University and has lost her ability to teach ALL students at BU.

I fully agree with the president of the university and am "concerned and disappointed" with Ms. Grundy. I don't believe that she will be able to professionally be able to separate her beliefs from her teaching and will influence her students in a negative way.

The comments made by this woman clearly show she has spent way too much time with her nose in a book and not enough out dealing with people in the real world. I'm dumbfounded that she hasn't been removed already. If a white professor with the same background, education and stature made these comments in regards to a race that wasn't his.....he'd be strung up by the end of the afternoon and fired by dusk. Do what's right and remove this wolf in sheep's clothing. She is living proof that a college education, even one that centralizes on the same educational goals as her......isn't enough to confirm that someone isn't a racist. It's how they carry themselves in their personal lives. And in her personal life, she stood on a world platform (facebook) and openly attacked another race. Doesn't even matter which one. High schoolers are taught to know better than this......she shouldn't get a pass. And getting rid of her shouldn't be that hard......she hasn't even started the gig yet. So just tell her not to show up. Easy as that.

There's no room for this as a teacher, she needs to go back to Kinder garden to learn the golden rule. Fire her...

This is racist behavior and it sickens me she still has a job. Oklahoma frat kids were expelled for far less hatred than Grundy. Double standard? Yes- very typical in today's world. Sad.

Reverse Discrimination is still racism.

Perhaps Boston University is not the higher learning institution I thought it was. The statement is racist and unbecoming of any person in a position to influence young minds.

This is exactly the issue in America. Our young people are taught hatred from their racist elders, this is not the way forward and she does not need to be "teaching" our future leaders. She hates white people and men, fire her now. If she was white we would not be having this conversation, she would be canned.

Deplorable racist scum. This woman should not be infecting the minds of our youth with her rage.

Racism goes both ways and to think that BU is about to have a known bigot teaching their students is deplorable. Your better than that Boston. Kick her back to Michigan
