What is scary is that she is clearly mixed - that complexion shows caucasion as well as african heritage. There is no room, none, for bigotry in our universities. Period.

There is no (NO) reason this person should be employed at a learning institution. If I (a white male) made these remarks at my place of employment I would be gone!

For her to have these views and be a professor astounds me. It's time to do the right thing, BU. Had she been white and said those things about young black males she would have been fired already. Enough of this double standard.

There is no place in our society for this type of blatant racism. Fire her and recommend serious counciling for her. There is no valid place for educators of this type to be in our school systems. Ever!!!!!

She should be fired for her racist comments. How she can claim that she "recognizes that racism is a system of oppression in which people of color are denied political, economic, and social power" She is making up a definition when she claims that racism is only valid when people of color are being repressed. The UN defines it as "the term "racial discrimination" shall mean any distinction, exclusion, restriction, or preference based on race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin that has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life" It does not say just blacks or just dark skinned people, it's anyone that is treated a certain way due to their color. Just like Dr. Grundy did to every young white male going to school. Just seeing the post from her twitter account shows that she is a racist and completely bias in her views towards white Americans. I do not feel that she can be an effective teacher in a racially diverse school like BU.

There's absolutely no place in our higher education system for bigots. This woman is supposed to be educated and an icon. She made statements that were false or without support of facts. It's one thing to make statements that are true based on facts but this woman made unclean statements that were totally created on no actual data. She could only create an atmosphere to breed racism and cannot be trusted to be fair to all the students equally no matter what race .

This is simply racism, and she is going to teach this nonsense. BU defends it as "free speech". Imagine what they'd do if some white guy said something like this about a different race. Academics defend 'free speech' when its spoken from the Left... shame on BU, what hypocrites.
