Free speech is a constitutional right. But employers are not subject to free speech requirements. She is entitled to her personal opinion-as hateful as it is-but that doesn't mean she she stay employed.

You may want to realize that Boston College (your comment) and Boston University are two totally distinct and separate schools. Boston College is a conservative Jesuit institution. Boston University, of which this article is about, is the number two school chosen by Jews, according to Hillel News, September 4, 2014. (http://www.hillel.org/about/news-views/news-views---blog/news-and-views/2014/09/04/2014-top-schools-jews-choose). It is not known to be a conservative school.

This is simply unacceptable in any context.

A person of authority like Ms. Grundy should not be making such statements. I wonder why it's all right for a minority to disparage the whites. Race is race. If a white person made such statements, the public and the media will be unforgiving.

Why would anybody pay to enroll their children at Boston College to be taught by this racist, race baiting POS "professor" in Useless Studies ?

Boston University shouldn't let this pathetic creature anywhere on its campus. She's an infection.

This is the ultimate left-wing hypocrisy. If a white professor said black males are "the " problem, they'd be fired in a heartbeat. We need to stop ALL the race baiting (Grundy, Sharpton, etc.).

She is racist and sexist and deserves to lose her job. Maybe she'll learn to think first before she opens her mouth.

Just image what the reaction would be if a white male had said that "black men were a problem population, and I avoid all black owned businesses when ever I can".

I find reverse racism as bad or worse than racism. "Can't we all just get along?"

Fire this racist hate-monger now!

She has a right to her bigotry but we must have higher standards for those educating the future's leaders. ANYONE displaying racism and bigotry has no place in a position to influence those future leaders. This is how racism and bigotry stay alive generation after generation and we MUST but a stop to it.

If she were white saying this about any other race she'd be fired

It's deplorable that racism is treated as a one way street. I can't imagine the harm she is doing to students in the role of "educator"

Racism has no place in society, especially in academia. Saida Grundy is a racist and should step down; if not she should be removed from her position.
