Petition to Terminate Boston University's Racist professor Saida Grundy

Her bias is evident and should not be accepted at an educational institution. She has no business teaching but might be able to conduct "research" such as it it is the pseudo-science of sociology. Such generalizations and stereotyping are the basis of prejudice. if what she said is acceptable because 'true", then how about these truths: (1) young black men cause most of the crime in this country; (2) young black women give birth to most of the young black men; (3) young black women who give birth to male babies are harming society and themselves if they are unmarried or unemployed.

this racist cretin belongs in a JAIL CELL its time for non-white and white liberal hatemongers to be treated for who they are... RACISTS espousing their own racist ideological hate..not fact, not history...but dogma and doctrine meant to justify HATE.

She calls her comments "indelicate" and then clarifies that she will treat all students equally, "even white males." Really? She's a despicable human being.

If this were a white professor speaking out about black male students in his free time or any time he would be fired. Why is Boston College not doing the correct thing and firing Dr Grundy. White, black or any nationality it is wrong to be a racist.

MCJ '15 alumnus. I will withhold any and ALL future donations to BU until this situation is rectified. Remarks such as this should not be tolerated from ANYONE, regardless of race, creed or background. I never thought I'd say I was ashamed to be a BU graduate. Until now.

She is a racist. !

I could not care less if she is a racist and does not like white people. Good for her. However, her position demands a certain level of professionalism which she simply has not demonstrated.

This racist needs to be removed from education.

Allowing this woman to teach ANYWHERE is flat out unacceptable. Yes it is free speech, but the second a white person, an Indian person, or even an Asian person slanders another race, it is not acceptable. What BU is teaching their students from this is that hypocrisy and double standards are okay. They are telling the public that it is okay to be racist, as long as it is against white people.

She's racist. She's racist. And that's the way she likes it. uh huh. And that's the way she will educate. White guilt liberals are enrolling in her class fast.

Terminate Ms. Grundy. Her comments consist of racist, hate speech which are unacceptable by any moral or social standards. As an employee of a an institution for higher learning she has inflicted irreparable damage to the reputation of Boston University. According to the morality clause of any educational institution she is in breach of contract an should be justly terminated. If this woman is allowed to stay, Boston University could and should face a civil rights lawsuit for protecting and allowing this vicious racist to discriminate against white male students on and off campus with her racist statements.

I'm a BU graduate, and am appalled that the University still intends to hire Ms Grundy. Her tweets & attitude clearly show that she is not an appropriate choice to be teaching at any level.

Saida Grundy should be fined and terminated like any white person would if they were to make comments like hers. College staff are supposed to represent their university in a positive manner. Upon hire they sign morality clauses which includes their private as well as their public behavior and she crossed the line. Her hate speech has caused irreparable damage to Boston University's' reputation and has only served to widen the racial divide in this country and will most likely result with violence erupting in the streets. Terminate Ms. Grundy before the situation further escalates.

A racist, regardless of color, is a racist.

I have no choice but to assume that Boston University fosters an intellectual environment where students are inculcated with the racist ideals that Grundy espouses. For that reason, as a university professor about to take up a position at an R1 state university, I will: 1) not admit graduate students from Boston University into our program, 2) not allow Boston University students to participate on conference panels I organize, 3) discourage students from attending graduate school at Boston University, 4) avoid interaction with faculty from Boston University. Their brand is tarnished and there is a real practical and ethical reason to avoid and sever contact with anyone associated with that brand.

This is a prime example of racism - no matter the color of the person speaking the words - and should not be tolerated in any academic setting. This educator (and I use that term loosely) should be fired just as other white educators that have said far less have been and continue to be. Racism is wrong - period and there should be no double-standards.

This type of blatant racism and hatred should never be rewarded. Allowing her to keep her position not only rewards her behavior, but promotes her racist views.

I'm truly saddened that a fellow educator would make a comment like the one on white males. If she really wants to facilitate change in race relations in this country, she needs to work on her approach so that all perspectives can be heard. This petition is evidence that these comments have alienated a large population who are important to making lasting change.
