Racism is wrong. All Racism is wrong. This is a prime example of the double standard. If you replace white with gay or black, or muslim, this would be hate speech.

If she had been white making a comment about black, there would have been no question about her loosing her job. The fact that she is black making a comment about white, makes her employable. I would not consider attending any university that supports racism. Yes, what she said was racist. Black people are very racist toward white people, it is time that was brought into the media.

Racism is never okay. A professor should be balanced, reasonable, reserved and not an ideologue. This lecturer shames the field of sociology.

She cannot be in a college started by white people and diss white males in public like they are the cause for all the world's ills. Let her check her own backyard before making such a comment. She will see a lot of mess there that needs cleaning.

If you are white and express yourself in ANY way that offends a minority, you are a racist and should be persecuted as such. We are so screwed as a nation...

A principal in Georgia gets fired for making a "racist "comment. An associate professor @ Boston University makes a "racist" comment and nothing happens. Hypocrisy?? I think the first Amendment is for everyone correct??

She deserves to be fired immediately. She will obviously have a bias towards students of the white race and is someone who is supposed to direct their future.

BU is afraid to do the right thing by following their policy and firing her. MSN didn't do the right thing by putting this article as a blip to the side instead of one of it's 16 revolving headline stories on the front page as the firing of the principal during graduation. Neither show fairness or equality for all. It's what they pick and choose. Shame!
