What was once intended to be a guiding structure for safety now looks nothing like a lighthouse and is actively endangering lives. Immediate action is necessary to prevent further harm and restore it to a functioning and safe condition.

Reasons for Urgent Action:

1. Misleading Appearance: The structure no longer resembles a lighthouse. Its dilapidated, incomplete form is misleading to boaters and visitors alike. Instead of serving its purpose as a beacon of safety, it causes confusion and misdirection.
2. Causing Fatalities: Due to its current state, there have been multiple incidents, including deaths, as people are either drawn to its hazardous condition or misinterpret it as a functioning navigational aid. This cannot continue.
3. Public Safety Risk: The structure is unstable, with crumbling walls and exposed, rusting metal. Its current state is not only an eyesore but also a significant safety hazard to anyone who comes near it. The threat of collapse grows each day.
