I do not support a liquor store in this already crime-ridden corridor. Highland has been working to restore this neighborhood, & a liquor store is only an invitation to be robbed. This is also very close to Centenary College, where many students are underage.

There is a Thrifty Liquor less than a mile away from this proposed location, as well as two gas stations, a Family Dollar, and a grocery store within eye sight that sell alcohol. It is not needed.

We live 3blocks away, my children and I regularly walk and bike right by the Don's. This is not what I envision for a neighborhood store!

I just purchased a home 4 blocks from the proposed location and I strongly oppose any special use permit that would allow a liquor store at 327 Kings Highway.

We do not need a liquor store at the corner of Kings & Gilbert in the middle of this residential neighborhood. Not only will it increase traffic, but it will definitely decrease our property values and increase the crime in the Highland/Gladstone area. MPC members: please vote NO for this permit!

Please do not use this property for a liquor store. There are many people that are trying to stay sober in highland halfway houses. There are beautiful houses to the south. We are trying very hard to keep our neighborhood safe-this kind of business won’t help our hard work!
