PETITION TO SAVE THE OPEN SPACE / PARKLAND AT SOUTH MEADOWS

We need the park, no more houses, no more traffic in south meadows, say no to the developers

Open space is necessary in our city for the health and well-being of all creatures, humans included! Do not develop this place!

Keep it open, no more houses. The Developers don't live hear, WE DO! Make a Park

I’m signing this petition to advocate for keeping the South Meadows properties as open space that we can continue to enjoy. District 3 has the lease amount of parks and open space of all the Santa Fe districts which feels inequitable. I urge SF county to reconsider the sale of this property.

Let's keep this space open or at the least think about park, we do not need more traffic that is already too much for this road. Keep it open as it is.

It's a perfect place for a park - let's keep it that way!

We have been blessed to have this space for over last couple of decades. We pray that we will keep our space open and free as God intended. Thank you.

Traffic and crime will increase too much the open space has been there for over 20 years it should remain an open space Homewise can go build charter schools in their neighborhood we don’t want one

No houses and no school needs to be in this area the roads are too small you will not be making any road improvements and the traffic is already insane, will one of the builders or councilors come and drive this area during peak hours and see what we deal with DAILY

Make it a park so the families have a place to play, walk or ride their bikes together

This is just another example! Santa Fe and the greater Santa Fe area are experiencing a major building growth and attacks on the environment, quality of life, and traditional value. This is in a context of uncertainties about future water availability, vested interests, and inadequate public participation. Read for instance "Growing Like Weeds" in the Santa Fe New Mexican of July 25, 2021. Politicians need to stop lamenting, show courage, and behave like executives. Pleas keep our open space park the way it is. I walk everyday sometimes (3) times a day with my elderly parents in their 80's and they just love the fresh air and natural landscape that would break their heart if anything changed from what it presently is. Please leave the park alone. Thank You

Please SAVE the open space park. We DON'T need anymore building in this area. We don't need any more traffic or NOISE in the area. We're all in a very serious drought and really need to preserve our water supply. This continued building is dwindling our water supply. I and my family walk the natural park (3) times a day (7) days a week and have for the last (13) years. Please Save our Natural Park.

Please keep open space park the way it is. I utilize it everyday for my walks and walks with my mother who is 80 years old and she sure enjoys walking in the open space park for health. It is next to our houses.

The southside needs open space it’s becoming a concrete jungle. This property was designated open space years ago.

Keep our Open Space free of development. The emphasis should be on equity for all South Side constitutes. We need more streets to handle this hugh amount of traffic with more to come. Where is our traffic planning?
