This petition is being made in hopes of the permanent removal of vicious canines. On March 28,2016 at around 4:30pm two large labrador mix got out of their backyard enclosure and attacked Lupita A Perez. Lupita was outside with her family getting ready to have a cookout in the front lawn. At the moment of the attack Lupita found herself playing with her easter toys when the dogs came running straight to attack her. One of the dogs locked his jaws at her head while the other by the waist both shaking her as if she was a rag doll. Lupita was under the supervision of her grandparents who ran to her aid. Lupita was rushed to the local Fort Duncan hospital where they then transfer her to San Antonio because of the severity of her wounds. In San Antonio she was admitted in the trauma center and then taken to the OR to be operated. The owner of the dogs struggled to retrieve and restrain her large dogs. She was given a citation for having her dogs loose and the dogs stayed in there home to be quarantined for ten days. They are being checked twice a day by vector control and once a day by a vet. But, after the ten days are over the dogs are back to the backyard where they have escaped from several times in the past. Neighbors have testified that these dog have attacked most of the other neighborhood pets and one neighbor on the calf. No reports where made to try and keep peace and harmony but the owner was notified about the aggressiveness of her pets. These incidents have been going on for more than a year let this be their last.
