Georgia the state has blocked the proposed increase in the minimum wage. As of now 13 states including Arizona, New York California as well as Rhode Island has accepted to raise the minimum wage. As of now the minimum wage in the state of Georgia is a low $7.25 per hour. However, we are petitioning the state minimum wage to increase to $12 per hour. The cost of living is on the rise. The increase will affect single parents as well as seniors who are barely getting by.
