This petition serves to outline the challenges posed by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic as it pertains to Semester 4C students studying at Ross University School of Medicine. Many students did not want to take the risk of being quarantined in Barbados as national policies around the world were changing by the hour. Though originally the Renal/MSK exam was scheduled for March 24, 2020 (one week after the HL2 exam), the disruption of study time, immediate need for travel and uncertainty surrounding the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic have consequently limited the time needed to review concepts from three different modules, which will essentially impact the performance and planning that students studying for these exams originally intended. We'd like to petition to reschedule the exam for Friday, March 27, 2020 so that our academics are not compromised by this unprecedented pandemic. We hope that this petition sufficiently represents consensus between Semester 4C students in light of the recent policy changes by RUSM administration, and we thank you for all that you are doing to support us in these trying times.

I feel how the exams were rescheduled didn't take into account the severity of what we were dealing with. Figuring out the what to even do next (stay on the island, book travel home etc) disrupted my studying. Now putting both exams back to back has added an unbelievable amount of additional stress. I feel the decision wasn't fair to the students.
I agree with anonymous above regarding room to make up lectures. If all content is being delivered remotely, they can still be recorded as scheduled, and we can all watch them after taking the test. This won’t cause the University or faculty any inconvenience.
I just don’t think it is fair that tests were a week apart and now they’re back to back. There’s a lot of room to make up lectures, so there’s no reason to seriously jeopardize people’s chances at maintaining some type of standard in terms of GPA and repeating.
Please consider the situation we are dealing with. Our class is very hard working but the travel and moving back to US affected our use of time greatly and that will impact our performance
Please move the semester 4c mini 3 to a later date. I am currently in the process of moving out of barbados and will be too stressed.

There is a lot of stress and family we need to take care of back home Test need to be pospone so that we all have time to deal with the current situation and also ensure that we are able to successfully complete the semester , all we need is a bit more time . Please consider our mental heath.
