This petition is in regard to the announcement that was sent saying the following, that the final exams will be on campus and the P/F grading mechanism will be a one-time thing where we choose the subject before we even proceed with the final exam. It is a major health risk to undertake the final exams on campus as the cases are still rising to this day and are not showing any sign of decreasing. Not to mention that some students have family members who are in the high-risk category, so not only are the students' health at stake but also their family members, according to the UAE government and the CDC criteria, its currently high-risk level. Secondly, having the examination on campus will change drastically the way the questions are being asked, which we have gotten used to over the course of the last 7 months. That’s due to the fact that online exam questions are completely different than if it were to be on campus. Moreover, the second major point is the new Pass/Fail system that is going to be implemented. It is completely unreasonable to it being before we do the final exam because that will defy the whole point of why it was implemented in the first place. Why would we as students choose a subject before we even know what we have received as a grade. Additionally, this is the first proper semester that is completely taught through online classes with students having up to 5-7 different subjects but are limited to only one that can be chosen to be a pass/fail. On the other hand, the spring semester which had all the subjects available for it when we only went through half of the semester online. Respectfully, please consider our request. Thank you.

Khalifa University administration is still ignoring the obvious health risks they are forcing onto us by demanding in-person finals. They think they can wait us out while they hide behind these bureaucratic policies but they are wrong. I am currently working on a formal rebuttal to their recent announcement because our safety is not negotiable.

Khalifa University administration is ignoring the health risks and the impossible grading burden they placed on us. We need to hit 1,000 signatures right now to force them to acknowledge that this current plan is a disaster for every single student. Get this in front of everyone you know because they are banking on us staying quiet.

Khalifa University administration is ignoring our health and our futures while forcing us into these impossible exam conditions. We need to hit one hundred signatures right now to force them to look at these numbers before they finalize these reckless plans.

I agree with all the point written in the petition. In addition to that, some students live far away from the university. It will be difficult for them to go to the university for every exam since the student dorms are shut down.

Manipulating the mathematics behind the calculation of the Covid Ratio to determine the risk level. The CDC already announced the UAE at a high risk level plus the cases are rising again just like it was when covid just started. this just doesn't make sense

I am strongly against the decision to have to declare one course as P/F before the exam. The finals make up 35-40% of the course and are what really makes or breaks our GPA, so I don't see how this is fair or the best course of action,

Why are students being put at risk, after being punished the whole semester with extra work, harder exams, impossible exam conditions (like only accessing one Q at a time, not being able to edit an answer, not enough time, no partial credit)?

The university’s decision is very illogical, plus u can’t just switch the learning from online to on campus just for exams, this proves how desperate they want the exams to be on campus regardless of cases ( otherwise we wouldn’t of gone back to uni a long time ago).

i have family members under the same roof with sever conditions and cannot be endangered by covid-19 i cannot risk getting it by attending uni because it will be severe and lethal to them because they are also old , and have a weak immune system
