Petition to Oppose 7-Eleven and Gas Station at the Entrance to Del Webb Minneola

A convenient store/gas station does not match the concept of the residential area. When you have a rural area that’s a combination of cluster development built to the layout of the land, single family homes and farms, how does anyone justify this type of development. This type of development will destroy the beautiful landscape as you go north on the newly constructed North Hancock Road.

We hope that the rural feel of this beautiful area does not get tainted by light pollution and traffic . Grateful to live here!

We love the rural feel of this part of Minneola and I hope there is little to no light pollution. Not sure what Dark Sky compliant means but I like it.

Move it closer to the area around where the Crooked Can is being built.

No gas station at corner of Hancock and 561 by Del Webb and new Lennar development!

We purchased in Minneola BECAUSE of the rural feel. Hopefully we can keep it that way. Unfortunately we won’t be back until November so we cannot attend. Thank you for spearheading this.

There is absolutely no need for a gas station or convenience store in a residential area. No,no,no!!!!!

I oppose the building of a gas station at the base of Del Webb Minneola because of the statements stated in the petition.

I am against any gas station / convenience store at the base of our development.

There is no reason to grant a variance for a gas station in this residential neighborhood. By granting a variance the town of Minneola is starting a dangerous precedence to let development run rampant and not control where certain businesses are allowed to operate. Planning for growth is critical at this stage so the town can prosper and be a place people want to move to.

Please don’t allow this or any other gas station at this location.
