A walk along the river is so good for your mental wellbeing, especially in a world dominated by social media. Opening up this footpath would be wonderful for the local residents, and provide a space away from the noise and pollution of social media xx

Walked from Tottenham to the Thames only to be stopped by this footpath being unnecessarily closed. It was very disappointing.

Blocking this stretch of the towpath is an anti social act against the best interests of the local community

Please open this section of the tow path. It would really be a benefit to the public living in this area

I was looking at this route to include in a book of walks but came to a dead end at Cody Dock. Good luck with this petition

It’s so important for people’s mental and physical health as well as for the environment to have traffic free routes, especially as the health benefits of water as becoming more and more apparent

It's obvious that this path should be opened up, its hard to believe it hasn't yet. Comparatively cheap to do but will provide huge value and amenity for many people, for many years to come.

Would be great added value to the area if people could walk ad cycle this way. Enjoying the Cody Dock artistic spaces but it's hard to get to.

Please, let’s all get behind this and make it happen. It’s been far too long. Such a vital piece of the lower Lea valley development.

Shame on the Electra business estate and lorry park, both of them are blocking a public right of way.

I could not believe that it took so long yet nothing has been done to open up the walkway to Thames. It will benefit some many people staying in that area and who works in Thames area.

What a shame the wonderful Cody Dock is cut off like this. Please open up Elektra Path for all to enjoy.

The route to the cody dock entrance is basically warehouses (unless you go via the main road through star lane and even still lots of commercial properties) and I never feel particularly safe so having direct access would be amazing. It would be great to know there is one walking route that is used by most people that you can run through without worrying about anyone lurking behind the various buildings.

Space for walking and space for nature, particularly connected space, is so important. This is especially true in the time of a pandemic, where people need room to exercise and to escape their homes.

I would love for the path to be fully open, I believe that the whole community would benefit from it

I would love to see this path open. It would greatly improve the quality of life of hundreds of people who would use it regularly to be able to access Cody Dock and the wonderful walkway along the River Lea.

Also, opening the path will improve the reputation of the area and improve property values
