The Minister granted the extension and we finally have the breathing room needed to properly review these documents. I am incredibly relieved that our neighborhood will have a fair shot at examining the impact of this development. Thank you for helping me protect our community.

Petition to Minister to extend observation time for Fosterstown Development

Petition to Minister for Housing, Darragh O'Brien to extend period of time for observations relating to Fosterstown Development in Swords. Due to the Pandemic, and the size of the traffic Impact assessment, over 400 pages, there is not enough time for residents to get legal opinion. November 11th closing date. We the residents feel we need more time to garner information relevant to our observations.

My neighbors and I are still struggling to wade through these hundreds of pages of reports before the deadline. We are nearing two hundred fifty signatures and need a final surge to prove to the Minister that we deserve more time to protect our community.

My neighbors and I are fighting to keep our community livable and we are almost at one hundred signatures. Please post this on your social media accounts so we have the leverage needed to demand a fair review process.

Because of the current pandemic restrictions people need more time in order to ensure that their observations / and input is taken on board . Past bad experiences and dealings with MKN in connection with Ridgewood plannings/ problems in the past would necessitate this extra time frame .
It is important to give adequate time to citizens to examine and discuss this poorly put together proposal. That has been made more difficult because of Covid-19. Therefore, there is an imperative to allow additional time to lodge a submission.
I fully support the call for an extension of time to the SHD development at Fosterstown Swords so that the public can make submissions or lodge objections to this development. This is necessary to ensure that the planning system affords citizens their rights to active participation in matters that affect them.
we need more time to study plans in detail, considering the massive impact this development will have without proper infrastructure.
This development is being rushed through with insufficient time being allowed for locals to investigate the impact of this development on our area. This is a massive development that will impact greatly on the existing community and also the new community who will be moving in to this development.
Not enough amenities being provided or in place for a project of this size, ie Schools, playgrounds and traffic. Also not enough 3 bed or larger units .
Swords infrastructure not suitable for this development. We are very concerned about environmental impact and short term concerned about rats and rodents from that site and impact on local homes.

I believe this project has not taken account of the needs of the local area and the major impact it would have on River Valley, Hawthorn and Boroimhe. The observation time should be extended.
