Each fiscal year the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors finalizes a budget. Fiscal year 2019 saw an increase in the real estate tax from $1.13 per $100 assessed value to $1.15 per $100 per assessed value. I am requesting the rate be lowered to $1.12 per $100 assessed value. The reasons for the rate increase have not been clarified by the board. This request is made to relieve homeowners of some tax burden.
